Caledonian Club's Sausage and whisky tasting

The first Interclub event of the year got off to a great start at the Caledonian Club with a Whisky Tasting in association with Morrison Bowmore Distillers.

After having whisky cocktails and canapés Morrison Bowmore's very own Philip Nickson invited us to taste whiskies from the Auchentoshan and Bowmore distilleries as he gave an informative and thoroughly entertaining presentation.

Attendees were treated to an Auchentoshan Classic, a 12 year old, the non-age statement Three Wood and a limited edition Valinch as well as a Bowmore 12 year old and 15 year old Darkest. All of which was accompanied with a selection of Cheeses with oatcakes.

It seems Scotsmen are not tight fisted after all as attendees got to take home a miniature and whisky glass. A special thanks must go to Philip Nickson, Hishge Batbold and the wider Caledonian Club staff for what was a fantastic evening.
