Inter-Club Murder Mystery
16th May 2006
Hosted by The Royal Over-Seas League
The first Younger Members' Inter-Club Group event hosted by the Royal Over-Seas League was a classic 'whodunnit'.
From the moment guests arrived for pre-dinner drinks, they were immersed in the plot as a mystifying murder was committed. No sooner had guests taken their seats for dinner, than the police inspector revealed himself and the investigation began. Was it the Texan oil tycoon or the Austrian opera diva who did the deed? Or maybe it was the camp antique collector who committed the murder in order to get his hands on the priceless jewels?
Over three courses of ROSL's best food and wine, the younger members and their guests examined the evidence, fingered their suspect and - in a more bizarre twist - delivered their verdict in rhyme to a pop tune of their choice! And as to who did it? Well, that would be telling - but suffice to say none of the Younger Members were found guilty!
