The Fifth Annual Inter-Club Quiz

A record number of Club teams took their seats at the Army and Navy Club for this year’s annual Inter Club Quiz to try and de-throne the Savage Club as the reigning champions of 2007 and 2008.

Former Inter Club Chairman James Scott had gone to extraordinary lengths to write a quiz which on this occasion focused for large parts on the popular culture of the eighties, a topic which must have been familiar to most the competitors as scoring throughout the evening was very close. Many thought he would have ran out of James Bond questions to ask, however the now infamous Bond round also made a welcome return!

Ultimately, the Carlton Club took the crown with the Savage Club a matter of a few points behind. The evening was partnered by fine food and wine and we look forward to the Carlton Club hosting next year for the 2010 Inter Club Quiz. Thanks need to go to James and his glamorous assistants for organising the content and the Army and Navy Club for stepping in and acting as very accommodating hosts for the event.
