Summer Garden Party
Hosted by
the
travellers Club
FRIDAY 24th june 2011
Each year the
Travellers Club Summer Garden Party is awaited with anticipation and
this year was no exception. As guests were greeted with a bottomless
glass of Pimm’s and Champagne in the Carlton Gardens, clouds
gathered dangerously over the Club House.
Despite
the heavy rain, inter-clubbers enjoyed their first drink in the
Garden gathering under its century-old trees, hoping that the sun
would return.
Inevitably – it
has become a tradition - the Summer Garden Party had to relocate in
the Library, which remains the room in the Clubhouse most closely
associated with the ethos of the Club and regarded by many as one of
the most charming rooms in London Club land. Delicious canapés were
served as guests mingled and enjoyed each other’s company.
The event was
another great success and continues to be hugely popular event
on the Inter Club calendar. A very warm thank you must go to Dawn,
Emeric and his team, Lorenzo Sargenti and Marcus Dreike for
organising another wonderful event.
