Wine and Cheese Tasting with

Wednesday 17th January 2007

Hosted by the Carlton Club - 69 St James' Street

We got the new year off to a great start with an informal cheese and wine tasting, hosted by Jeroboams at the Carlton Club. 70 people, at this sold out event, were able to sample such delights as Mercurey Blanc twinned with Langres cheese, and a Jordan Estate Merlot twinned with Fourme d'Ambert blue cheese - which a number of people said was the loveliest blue cheese they had encountered. With 8 wines paired with 8 cheeses, there was something to entice everyone - all accompanied by a very interesting and entertaining commentary from Richard Grenfell-Hill. The lack of wine and cheese left at the end of the evening was testament to everyone's enjoyment.

We would particularly like to thank the Carlton Club, Richard and Jeroboams for hosting this delightful evening.
